About your Doula
My name is Brittany and I am a mother to one beautiful little boy. I was called to become a Doula early in my life when I realised my passion for supporting the rights of womyn of all walks of life.

I began by volunteering in the high-risk maternity unit at The Ottawa Hospital where I learned about many of the different struggles that a birthing mama can face.
I went on to graduate from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada with a BA Hons. in Gender, Sexuality and Reproduction. From there I moved to Australia and pursued my dream of becoming a doula, first working at the Australian Doula College’s mothership in Sydney, and then completing 20 weeks of intensive training with the Australian Doula College in Brisbane.

I believe that pregnancy is a time to ground yourself, get in touch with your divine femininity, and seek the gentle, loving care that will nourish you while you prepare to welcome a new baby into your family. As a Doula I will get to know you, learn about your pregnancy and your dream birth and do everything in my power to support and guide you through your transition into motherhood. I will support you in any choices you make, and can provide you with information on pregnancy, birth and post-partum. I do not replace your care provider.
I believe that motherhood is a journey that includes pregnancy, labour and birth, and the fourth trimester so it is vital that we respect these moments and recognise their influence.
