Birth Support
A birth doula is a professional birth worker who supports a family during pregnancy, birth and the early post-natal period. As a birth doula I provide information and non-clinical, caring support throughout your journey.
I do not replace your care provider, and do not replace your partner, but rather act as a support person: holding the space and providing gentle encouragement, positive reassurance and information.
I will be there to support your during your labour, providing emotional and spiritual guidance, physical support, comfort measures and more.
You will have unlimited phone and email access to me during your pregnancy.
I will be on-call for you two week prior to, and two weeks after your estimated date of delivery.
I will be with you while you labour in your chosen birth place, and stay with you until you have had your first breastfeed with your new baby, and are feeling comfortable.
If requested, I can take non-professional photographs of your journey. A pregnancy photo shoot is a fun way to get to know you and your partner, and a few well-timed photographs during your labour will be cherished forever, even if you choose to keep them private.

Having a doula can allow you to have a shorter, gentler, more joyful birth!
